About Wake Federal Procurement Consulting
Federal contracting can be complex, but understanding how the government thinks, evaluates, and buys can make all the difference.
Wake Federal Procurement Consulting was founded to help small businesses navigate that process with greater clarity and confidence, drawing on more than 17 years of experience working inside federal procurement.
Federal Procurement Expertise From Someone Who Has Been on the Other Side of the Table.
Meet the Founder and Principal Consultant - Kristy Hoffman
Before founding Wake Federal Procurement Consulting, I spent more than 17 years in federal acquisition, serving as a Branch Manager, Contracting Officer and trusted procurement leader supporting complex government requirements.
Throughout my career, I worked across the acquisition lifecycle; from acquisition planning and solicitation development to proposal evaluation, source selection, award and contract administration through contract closeout. I held a former $150 million contracting warrant and supported complex procurements, competitive source selections, and high-stakes acquisition decisions.
That experience gave me something I now bring to every client engagement: an inside understanding of how federal agencies approach procurement and what contracting professionals are looking for from industry.
Today, I use that perspective to help small businesses better understand federal opportunities, strengthen their approach, and compete more strategically.
WHY WAKE?
A Clear Path Forward.
After spending my career on the government side of the table, I wanted to use that experience in a different way; helping small businesses navigate a federal marketplace that can often feel unnecessarily complex.
Wake Federal Procurement Consulting was created to provide practical, straightforward guidance grounded in real federal acquisition experience.
The name Wake has meaning on several levels. It reflects our new roots in Wake County, North Carolina, but it also represents the path left behind as you move forward with the knowledge, strategy, and preparation that help create a clearer course for what comes next.
For our clients, that means cutting through the complexity of federal procurement, understanding where they stand, and moving forward with purpose.
